Week 1 of Recycling @ Lunch

We are off to a great start with our new four bin recycling program. We have bins for garbage/non-recyclables, recyclables (including empty milk cartons), liquids, plastic bottle lids and pop tabs. Students are doing awesome separating their items and ensuring they go into the correct bins!
Kicking off

Earth Day

Earth Day Scavenger Hunt

Salk homerooms participated in six different Earth Day activities. This scavenger hunt asked each homeroom to complete six different tasks, including poetry, art displays, word sorts, straw campaign questions, product redesigns, and energy audits.
Salk’s Annual Great Energy Scavenger Hunt

Each homeroom joined the scavenger hunt competition to complete six different tasks. With each task, teams created something or researched something. Correct answers earned homerooms code words which they entered for a chance to win a homeroom pizza party!
Preparing for Holiday Break with a Shutdown
