MAKE A PLEDGE!!!

Teachers, Don’t forget to have your kids pledge! Thank you very much!

Ways to Reuse

12/08/16 Twin Lakes Elementary

Last month, students were busy reusing milk cartons to make Veteran’s Day table toppers for the Veteran’s Home. This week they were busy making holiday table toppers out of milk cartons and shoe boxes. What a great way to reuse items and brighten up the tables at the Veteran’s Home.

Power Patrol Audit

11/30/16 Twin Lakes Elementary

We completed our first Power Patrol Audit. Good news - lights were turned off. The next step is to remember to UNPLUG! Our building will work on unplugging the electric pencil sharpeners at the end of the day along with anything else that doesn’t need to use electricity overnight.

ISCHS Pledge Event

11/30/16 Ivan Sand Community High

This morning at breakfast, more than 20 Ivan Sand students took the pledge to decrease the energy use in the building and at home and work. Along with a certificate, they received a green wristband, a piece of candy and a unit in Biology, Chemistry or Physical Science. This is only about 20% of our student enrollment, so we have a ways to go for 100% compliance. We’ll run another sign-up after the holidays.
